The Lois Weaver Arts Scholarship

The Lois Weaver Arts Scholarship is a prestigious award made possible through the generosity of the Sampson Arts Council and Sampson Community Theatre. This scholarship honors the legacy of Lois Weaver, who served as the Executive Director of the Sampson Arts Council for many years and was a dedicated advocate for the arts in our community. The scholarship recognizes an outstanding high school student who has demonstrated a commitment to the arts and made a meaningful contribution to the community through their artistic involvement. 

• Award Amount: $500
• Eligibility: Open to high school students who plan to major or minor in Visual Art, Music, Dance, Drama, Arts Education, Graphic Design, Photography, or any Arts-related field
• Award Payment: Funds will be made payable directly to the recipient’s college in Fall 2025.
