The Artist Support Grant offers direct aid to artists in Cumberland, Hoke, Robeson, Sampson, and Scotland Counties, funding skill development, business enhancement, and audience expansion for visual, craft, performing, traditional, and interdisciplinary artists. Funded through a partnership with the North Carolina Arts Council, managed by the Arts Council of Fayetteville | Cumberland County, in collaboration with Robeson County Arts Council, Sampson Arts Council, and Scotland County Arts Council/Storytelling Center of the Southeast.
Founded in 1973, the Arts Council of Fayetteville | Cumberland County acts as a bridge between artists, cultural organizations, and the community. This nonprofit administers programs in partnership with local agencies to boost community development through the arts, supporting creativity, cultural preservation, economic growth, and lifelong learning. Funding for the Arts Council's grants, programs, and services comes from business and individual contributions, along with grants from the City of Fayetteville and Cumberland County.
