Golf Fore the Arts Tournament a success!

The twelfth annual “Golf Fore the Arts” Golf Tournament sponsored by the Sampson Arts Council was held at Coharie Country Club in Clinton on June 10, 2022.  The Sampson Arts Council would like to thank our community for making our annual fundraiser a huge success! We were thrilled to have 18 teams including 72 golfers, and 95 business and individual sponsors!

A very special thank you to our Par Sponsors:

  • DuBose Strapping, Matthews Health Mart, Star Communications, Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q, and US Foods
  • Hole-in-One sponsor for the tournament was Deacon Jones of Clinton

On tournament day, our golfers were treated to croissants by Burney’s, snacks and drinks by Han-Dee Hugo’s, and lunch by Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q.

This event was a huge success because of the dedication and hard work of our golf committee.  Funds raised will provide three weeks of Summer Art Camps in June and July for 100 students in grades 1-12. These students will have an amazing time exploring their creativity this summer! The SAC is thrilled to offer 30 art camp scholarships to select students from Sampson County and Clinton City Schools to attend art camp free of charge. Funds raised also sustain ongoing operations of the Arts Council so we continue to produce programs and events that advance the arts and engage our county’s residents and visitors. With your generous support, we are able to provide unique arts programming throughout the year such as Gallery Exhibits, Artist Receptions, Student Art Classes, Adult Art Workshops and Pottery Classes.

We cannot thank everyone enough for their support of the Arts in Sampson County!
