Summer Art Camps 2022

Get Creative this Summer at the Sampson Arts Council! We offer a variety of Art Camps in July. Our weekly camps are limited to 24 students, so register today to reserve your spot!

We are excited to offer Summer Art Camp in Clinton and Newton Grove! Many thanks to Jerris McPhail for making the Newton Grove Art Camp possible.

Learn from experienced teachers, create exciting projects, make lifelong friends!

Art Camps for Grades 1 - 12

"Animal Planet”

   Spots, stripes, and scales! From the tallest to the smallest, we will draw, paint, build and learn all about our favorite animals! We will travel the planet discovering animals and the famous artists who paint and draw them. From animal pattern drawings to sculptures, we’ll explore our inner         zoologist with fauna-themed projects all week long. 


Camps are limited to 24 students

(12 students per class) and will follow Covid-19 protocols

“Design It” 

    Calling all painters, designers, fashionistas, and inventors! Students will create patterns and unique original designs by combining lines, shapes, textures, and colors. Spark your imagination with mixed media,             printmaking, jewelry, weaving, painting and more!  


 Camps are limited to 24 students 

(12 students per class) and will follow Covid-19 protocols

  This is your ticket for a whirlwind art making adventure! Begin each day in a new country and create works of art inspired by the places you visit and the artists you meet! Explore mediums such as pastels, paint, collage and more!

Youth Pottery Camp for Grades 2-6

Youth Pottery Camp – Instructed by Douglas Lloyd

CLAY FISH & TURTLES

 Grades 2 - 6 (Fall 2022)

  June 14 and 21, 2022 (Tuesdays)

 1:00 – 3:00pm

 Cost: $40/members, $60/nonmembers

  Students will create colorful sea turtles and fish to get them ready for a visit to the beach this summer! They will learn the pinch pot method while creating their own unique and colorful turtle and fish.  Students will also learn proper methods of working with clay and glazes during their time in the studio.
