Promoting and Supporting the Arts in Sampson County
The Sampson Arts Council is proud to present G.W. West: The Hidden Fish — a stunning collection of scenic paintings inspired by the beauty just outside the artist’s back door. From rustic barns to winding rivers and quiet country landscapes, each piece captures the peaceful spirit of rural life — with one unique detail: a symbolic hidden fish woven into every work, representing the artist’s faith. See full calendar here.
Join us as we honor loved ones and celebrate community through the traditions of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). The Sampson Arts Council invites you to contribute to a community ofrenda, enjoy family-friendly activities at the Día de Sampson Celebration on November 2, and visit the completed ofrenda in the Victor R. Small House gallery the following week. All events are free and open to the public. See full calendar here.
Shop local, give unique! Discover one-of-a-kind gifts from talented local artists—handcrafted jewelry, décor, pottery, ornaments, and more. Kick off the market at the Artist Reception on Thursday, November 13, 5:30–7:30 pm with live music, hors d’oeuvres, and first access to these special creations. Mark your calendars and make this holiday season memorable with handmade gifts that truly stand out. See full calendar here.
