Art in Bloom: Floral Design Competition
Experience the vibrant intersection of art and floral design at Art in Bloom, a unique exhibition and competition happening May 29–31 at the Sampson Arts Council. Join us on Saturday, May 31 at 11:00 AM for a live floral design demonstration with Dr. Jennifer Bradley of the University of Mount Olive. Held in the Pottery Studio at the Sampson Arts Council, this dynamic session explores traditional vs contemporary design and the techniques behind bold, artful arrangements. Willie Weeks Day: Mural Unveiling & Dedication Event
Celebrate Salemburg native Willie Weeks, one of the most in-demand bass guitarists in modern music. From Vince Gill to Eric Clapton, Aretha Franklin to The Rolling Stones—Weeks’ legendary sound has shaped decades of music. Join us on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 5:30PM - 7:30PM as we honor his legacy with a mural in his hometown. See full calendar here.
